FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES COWLEY AS CFO & DIRECTOR

The American Children Foundation, headquartered in Pasadena CA, today announced that Victor J. Cowley, 74, a veteran financier and executive of several international technology enterprises, will become the chief financial officer and a member of the board of directors for the Foundation. Cowley, a major donor to the Foundation, expressed his pleasure with his new responsibilities. In accepting he said:

The Foundation's work is completely dedicated to the benefit of American children stranded around the world who have been abandoned by their American parent. We work with the courts to secure their financial support and with the immigration department to gain recognition of their American citizenship. It is very satisfying to achieve those goals and I couldn't be more pleased than to be a member of this new operation.

Cowley, who lives in Miami, holds a degree in mathematics from Cambridge University.

The American Children Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt Foundation which serves children having an American citizen parent who were born and live abroad. The Foundation obtains court-ordered child support and federal recognition of their American citizenship for such children.

FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES FEDERAL TAX EXEMPTION

The American Children Foundation, headquartered in Pasadena CA, today announced that it had received a determination leter from the IRS granting the Foundation's request for its donors to deduct the amount of their donation from their federal taxes. The exemption was made retroactive to the date the Foundation was first created under Califonia law. Jim Sweeney, founder and president of ACF said:

This is a major step for the ACF to go forward with its work. Without the exemption, we would be unable to operate in any substantive way. We are also pursuing this same type of exemption from the State of California and, with this in hand, it is highly likely to be granted.

The American Children Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt Foundation which serves children having an American citizen parent who were born and live abroad. The Foundation obtains court-ordered child support and federal recognition of their American citizenship for such children.
