FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES COWLEY AS CFO & DIRECTOR
The American Children Foundation, headquartered in Pasadena CA, today announced that Victor J. Cowley, 74, a veteran financier and executive of several international technology enterprises, will become the chief financial officer and a member of the board of directors for the Foundation. Cowley, a major donor to the Foundation, expressed his pleasure with his new responsibilities. In accepting he said:
The Foundation's work is completely dedicated to the benefit of American children stranded around the world who have been abandoned by their American parent. We work with the courts to secure their financial support and with the immigration department to gain recognition of their American citizenship. It is very satisfying to achieve those goals and I couldn't be more pleased than to be a member of this new operation.
Cowley, who lives in Miami, holds a degree in mathematics from Cambridge University.
The American Children Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt Foundation which serves children having an American citizen parent who were born and live abroad. The Foundation obtains court-ordered child support and federal recognition of their American citizenship for such children.
